I've tried very hard to keep this policy simple, truthful, and concise. If anything isn't clear, please get in touch.

What kind of data billabl process

To put it very simply, I process the data that you give me, and that's it.

When you sign in you agree to let billabl connect to your calendar and read calendar events. This means that I could very well come into contact with these kinds of data:

  • Your email address
  • The titles, times, timezones, locations, and descriptions of calendar events
  • The attendess of the calendar events (i.e. other people's names and email addresses)
  • Links contained within calendar events
  • Anything else that is added to the calendar event

If you sign up for premium then I'll need to process some of your financial information. I use Stripe to power billing, so I actually process very little financial information, but I might have access to things like:

  • The last 4 digits of your payment card
  • Whether or not your payments succeed or fail
  • Your billing address
  • Other details regarding payments

What billabl does with that data

If you sign up to the newsletter then I'll add your email address to a list and very occasionally send you a marketing email. I'll keep your email address in this list until you unsubscribe, at which point it will be removed immediately.

I'll use your calendar information to generate reports for you. I won't store this information for any longer than is needed to generate the report, it will not be cached, archived, or otherwise stored.

I'll use your financial information to charge you for billabl premium. I will keep this financial data for as long as you have a premium account. When you close your premium account I will additionally keep these records for as long as is necessary according to UK financial law.

Where does billabl store the data

All of billabl's servers are located within the United Kingdom. The data is never transferred outside of the UK without your request. If you access billabl whilst outside of the UK, your data will be transferred directly to you over an encrypted channel.

Your rights

Your country will hopefully have data protection rights enshrined in law, you should make yourself aware of these rights.
